Discover Querencia.
Find Your Place.
“For The Land” is more than a boutique hotel—it is an invitation to connect deeply with Northern New Mexico’s landscapes, traditions, and stories. Rooted in the concept of Querencia—a profound sense of place and belonging— the stay blends sustainable design, immersive cultural experiences, and a commitment to returning land stewardship to Indigenous communities.
The experience is not one of excess rather about meaning. Every architectural detail, curated experience, and local partnership reflect a respect for the land and its people.
Come to reconnect. To restore.
Arrive and leave with a deeper understanding of place, heritage, and yourself.

A Journey Back Home
Carlo’s and Edgar’s return to New Mexico to establish “For The Land” is fueled by a deep sense of Querencia—a commitment to honoring and preserving the unique heritage of their home state.
Having spent years working internationally, they understand the transformative power of cultural immersion and the importance of grounding sustainable development in local values.
Carlo and Edgar envision “For The Land” as a sanctuary where visitors can connect with New Mexico’s landscapes, traditions, and histories in a meaningful way. By creating a hospitality experience that prioritizes land stewardship, Indigenous values, and sustainable architecture, they aim to give back to the community that shaped them.
Their shared goal is not only to celebrate New Mexico’s beauty but also to establish a model of regenerative tourism that respects and protects the land, creating an enduring legacy for future generations.
